Team Driver レポート：RM01 トゥエルブレースに参戦！

皆さんこんにちは、早くも第5回目の投稿となります！
今回はまだシェイクダウン間もない状態ですが
トゥエルブレースに参戦いたしましたのでその模様をお伝え致します。

各社マシンが出揃い比較するには良い機会です♪
レースレギュレーションはLi-Po2セル17.5ｔモーター+ノンブーストで
予選は5分間、決勝は8分間の周回レースです。
まず予選1回目、路面のグリップがあまり良くないようですがマシンの調子は良くベストラップも13秒フラットとテストで出したタイムのコンマ1秒落ちと、このヒートトップでゴールします。
そして総合順位も暫定トップです♪

予選2回目、今回はトップスタートで中盤まで独走になりますが後半、マシンのグリップ感が無くなり追い上げられゴールタイムはコンマ4秒差で逃げ切り何とかＴＱを獲得しました。

ゴール後マシンをチェックすると、グリップが低い為にタイヤの減りが早く最後までタイヤが持ちませんでした！
あまりの薄さで所々ホイルが見えています。1パック３ｍｍ程度減っています（驚）

どうやら車高がなくなりシャーシと路面が干渉しグリップが得られなかったようです。

決勝に向けニュータイヤを投入！と思いきやここで問題が！
ここまで減るとは思っておらず手持ちに今まで使用していた#3040-25タイヤがありません（汗）
現在、手持ちに#2435グリーンしかありません。
このタイヤはグリップ剤との相性がよく前記のタイヤよりグリップ感がありますがグリップ剤が切れると逆にグリップが得られません。
グリップ剤？という方も居られるかもしれませんのでここでグリップ剤のことを少しお話します。
グリップ剤とはタイヤのグリップを上げる為に塗る液体ですがイーグル模型で取り扱っている商品ではパラゴングランドイフェクトとＦＸ２がスポンジタイヤ用として出ています。
場所によるかもしれませんが多くの場合はＦＸ２の方を使用し、塗る時間や幅などでグリップの調整をしていきます。また使用前にはきちんと拭き取る必要があります。
*ダーティーな場所では埃を吸って逆効果になる場合もあります。

ここではリアタイヤにパラゴンＦＸ２を30分、フロントタイヤ半分に10分入れ決勝レースに挑みます。

決勝はタイヤのおかげかスタートからハイペースで走行できます♪
ベストラップもレコードの12.8秒で後続との差を広げます。
後続との差が半周ほどになりますが、6分過ぎにグリップ剤の効果が切れタイムも大幅に落ち込みます。
1周コンマ5秒以上縮められ、そして残り30秒！
遂に逆転され2番手でゴールとなりました。
非常に残念な結果とはなりましたが、マシンの長所と短所を確認でき次回までのテストすべき点も出てきましたので大変有意義な1日となりました。
